Liverpool to do

After 10 years of exploring (and a few questionable nights out), these are the spots we keep coming back to.

No tourist traps. Just the good stuff.

Culture & creative stuff

Tate Liverpool

Modern art by the docks. Sometimes weird, always interesting.

Walker Art Gallery

Proper portraits, big names, and it’s free.

FACT

Films, exhibitions, and futuristic tech things.

Everyman Theatre

Drama, comedy, and occasionally drag queens.

Liverpool Central Library

Beautiful inside, with a rooftop terrace perfect for a quiet spot with a book

pints

Ok we have spent a lot of time curating this one…

The Monro

A beautifully restored Georgian townhouse with open fires & stripped-back wood interiors.

St Peter’s Tavern

Once a Catholic church, now a gloriously over-the-top beer hall with stained glass, altars, candlelit balconies and beer gardens.

Spanish Caravan

A touch of Barcelona in the centre of town. Small plates, day drinks & football.

Red Lion

A proper old school boozer. No fuss, good pints.

Greenery & outdoor stuff

Sefton Park

Huge. Lakes, cafés, palm house, geese.

Otterspool Promenade

Good for a walk or a think. You can spot Wales on a clear day. Warning: keep your hat at home, the wind can be a lot.

Princes Park

Slightly quieter than Sefton, still lovely.

The Anglican Cathedral

Massive landmark. Worth a visit even if you’re not religious. Crazy architecture.

Music & nightlife

Zanzibar

Indie rock vibes. Live bands and loud nights.

Invisible Wind Factory

Warehouse raves, roller discos, weird in the best way.

The Jacaranda

Late night bar, record store and live music venue.

Camp & Furnace

Quiz nights, markets, club nights, and the odd bingo rave.

coffee, brunch, Subs

DEREK’s

Proper authentic New York style subs. One of our ultimate, all time fav’s.

Leaf on Bold Street

Teas, brunch, and good Wi-Fi.

92 Degrees

A few locations, great coffee, good people-watching spots.

The Bagelry

Actual bagels. Great ones.

The Tavern & Co

American cafe with bottomless tea & coffee. Ultimate hangover cure.

Shops, markets etc

Bold Street

Indie shops, records, vintage finds, fancy snacks.

Baltic Market

Food stalls, cocktails, and occasionally live music.

Red Brick Market (Cains Brewery Village)

Handmade, secondhand, a bit hipster.

Liverpool ONE

Your standard city shopping centre, but big and shiny.

Lark Lane

Hidden gem right off Sefton Park. SO worth a visit. Lots of independants.
